Karachi: (RightNow) Mustafa Kamal, leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan, emphasized in a press conference in Karachi that the proposal for administrative units is not against Sindhis. He stated that 38% of the province’s population resides in Karachi.

Mustafa Kamal further mentioned that the Army Chief and Mohsin Naqvi have also discussed administrative units. The DG ISPR supported their views. Kamal highlighted that despite spending 8,884 billion rupees, Karachi remains in a dire state.

He stated that the creation of administrative units would allow Sindh’s people to change the Chief Minister. Kamal noted that the People’s Party opposed the 27th amendment, while all other parties agreed.

Farooq Sattar remarked that stability in Pakistan is not possible without administrative units. He emphasized that Karachi is the economic capital of the country, contributing 90% of the provincial revenue.

It is noteworthy that Mustafa Kamal believes the formation of administrative units will grant Sindh’s people their resources and powers. He urged not to blame corruption and poor governance on the people of Sindh.
