Pakistan marks its 79th Independence Day with ceremonies nationwide, honoring its founders.
Islamabad: (RightNow) Pakistan celebrates its 79th Independence Day with grandeur across the country. Special events are organized in various cities to mark the occasion.
The day begins with a gun salute, followed by special prayers for the nation’s prosperity and stability after Fajr prayers. Prayers for the success of the Kashmiri struggle are also held in different mosques.
A prestigious guard-changing ceremony takes place at the Quaid’s Mausoleum, where the Pakistan Naval Academy contingent assumes charge. Rear Admiral Muhammad Umair, the Commandant, is the chief guest at the ceremony.
The Army Chief and service chiefs congratulate the nation and pay tribute to the founders of Pakistan. The armed forces remember the sacrifices of martyrs and reaffirm their commitment to national development.
It is noteworthy that Pakistan was established in 1947, and this independence is the result of our ancestors’ sacrifices, which are still remembered today.
