Lahore: (RightNow) Heavy rainfall is forecasted in various parts of Punjab until August 15. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued an alert.

According to PDMA, rain is expected in Lahore, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, and other cities. There is a risk of water accumulation in urban areas, and relevant departments have been instructed to remain prepared.

The Director General of PDMA stated that heavy rain in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, and Multan could lead to water accumulation in urban areas. People have been advised to exercise caution.

PDMA also reports that rain is expected in Rawalpindi and the Potohar region. There is a risk of landslides in Murree, Galyat, and other hilly areas.

It is noteworthy that last year, heavy rains in these areas also led to landslides, causing significant damage to the residents.
