Tehran: (RightNow) Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Mohsen Rezaei announces that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until Iran’s conditions are met. This statement was made during a meeting with the Chinese ambassador.

Rezaei further stated that the U.S. must end the war and unfreeze Iran’s funds. He mentioned that Iran’s other conditions have also been communicated to the U.S. through mediators.

The Iranian official noted that any agreement between Iran and Oman regarding the Strait of Hormuz would be a separate issue. He emphasized the necessity of ending conflicts in the region, including in Lebanon and Gaza.

Rezaei highlighted that reopening the Strait of Hormuz is linked to a change in U.S. behavior. He clarified that without accepting Iran’s conditions, reopening is not possible.

It is noteworthy that Iranian officials have previously stated that reopening the Strait of Hormuz depends on U.S. actions and progress on Iran’s conditions. Negotiations between Iran and Oman are ongoing, but according to the Iranian Foreign Minister, these talks should not be seen as an immediate sign of reopening.
