Peshawar: (RightNow) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Local Government Department has increased the special conveyance allowance for disabled government employees and pensions for Local Council Board pensioners.

According to the notification issued by the Local Government Department, the special conveyance allowance for disabled government employees has been increased from Rs 6,000 to Rs 10,000 per month. The new allowance will be effective from July 1, 2026.

The allowance increase will benefit eligible disabled employees of the Local Council Board, Local Governance School, Capital Metropolitan Government Peshawar, and Tehsil Municipal Administration.

The Local Government Department states that the allowance will be provided under the conditions set by the Finance Department. This decision was made in a meeting of the Local Council Board.

It is noteworthy that the net pension for Local Council Board pensioners has also been increased by 7%, aiming to provide financial relief to government employees and retirees amid economic conditions.
