Tehran: (RightNow) Iran’s Forensic Medicine Organization confirms 3,519 deaths during a 40-day conflict. Among the deceased are 3,000 men and 500 women.

The organization clarified that these figures only include those killed in clashes, excluding recent skirmishes with the US in southern Iran.

Additionally, 270 students were among the dead, mostly from Minab’s Shajra Tayyiba School. Notably, 38 children were under 5 years old.

The report did not specify how many of the deceased were military personnel. According to Iranian news agency IRNA, 1,460 civilians and 2,080 Iranian military personnel were killed.

It is noteworthy that this conflict began after attacks on Iran by the US and Israel, with ongoing repercussions.
