Riyadh: (RightNow) Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Dr. Raed Krimli states the Makkah Defense Pact reflects historic strategic relations between Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan. The agreement was reached after years of negotiations.

The pact aims to strengthen the defense capabilities of the three nations. It will enhance defense readiness and develop strategic defense capabilities. The countries are committed to addressing security threats and regional integrity together.

Dr. Krimli clarified that the pact is not part of a military alliance or sectarian bloc. Its goal is to develop sustainable self-reliant capabilities and is not related to nuclear ambitions or an arms race.

He emphasized that the agreement does not compromise Saudi Arabia’s global relations. It poses no threat to the security of any regional country and does not escalate tensions between nations.
