NAB recovers Rs 2,452 billion, reclaims over 1 million acres, uses AI system.
Islamabad: (RightNow) NAB recovers a record Rs 2,452 billion in the second quarter of this year. This brings the total recovery for the half-year to Rs 5,414 billion.
According to NAB’s report, 1,078,283 acres of government land were reclaimed in Balochistan, Sindh, Punjab, and Islamabad. NAB Sukkur made the highest recoveries.
NAB Sukkur, with the cooperation of the Sindh Board of Revenue and the Secretary of Forests, reclaimed 853,678 acres of land valued at Rs 1.01 trillion. NAB Balochistan recovered 209,544 acres.
These actions have not only helped prevent financial fraud but also ensured the protection of public wealth. NAB returned Rs 42.303 billion to over 24,365 affected individuals.
It is noteworthy that NAB has adopted an artificial intelligence-based system, which has expedited and improved the investigation process. The Pakistan Anti-Corruption Academy has been activated as a Center of Excellence.
