Peshawar: (RightNow) A significant meeting on digital educational reforms was held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi, decided to bring a digital revolution to the education system.

It was announced that under the ‘Parho Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’ project, the province’s curriculum will be digitized. All textbooks will be available on mobile phones, allowing students to learn without internet access.

Chief Minister Afridi stated that quality education will be delivered to remote areas. He further mentioned that an investment of 5 billion rupees is expected to save 100 billion rupees annually.

These educational reforms will integrate millions of out-of-school children into the educational stream. The plan is to promote education through smartphones.

It is noteworthy that online teaching has already started in over 50 schools in the province. By the end of August, 500 schools will be connected to the virtual learning system.
