Zurich: (RightNow) FIFA has released a clarification following objections to its proposed project. FIFA states that incorrect media reports are affecting the consultation process, and it seeks fact-based opinions from all 211 member countries.

FIFA clarifies that no single organization can claim to represent all 211 member countries, and football is not being sold. FIFA would never engage in such actions.

According to FIFA, the Forward Enterprise proposes to run commercial activities through a subsidiary entirely owned and controlled by FIFA.

The proposal suggests distributing commercial income among all 211 member countries. Each member country will receive $20 million in FIFA Forward funding from 2027 to 2030.

It is important to note that if the majority of member countries do not support it, the FIFA Forward Enterprise will not be established. The decision to approve, amend, or reject the project will be made in consultation with member countries.
