Islamabad: (RightNow) The federal government has decided to import 1 million tons of wheat to meet the country’s needs and stabilize the market.

According to the Ministry of National Food Security and Research, the imported wheat will fulfill domestic requirements and maintain market stability.

Officials stated that the wheat available with PASCO will also meet provincial needs to ensure uninterrupted supply across the country.

This measure aims to provide quality and affordable wheat to the public, reducing their hardships.

It is noteworthy that the government has previously fulfilled national needs through wheat imports to maintain market stability.
