PTA Gives Mobile Companies 30 Days to Improve Service Quality

Islamabad: (RightNow) Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has taken a firm stance against mobile companies for substandard services. The authority has given operators a 30-day deadline to rectify deficiencies.

To enhance mobile service quality and coverage nationwide, PTA has intensified its actions. It has instructed mobile operators to identify deficiencies and present a corrective plan within 30 days.

PTA warns of stricter actions if deficiencies are not addressed. Documents reveal that in the past four years, mobile companies have been fined 3.41 billion rupees.

Additionally, 20 warning letters and 86 show-cause notices have been issued for quality of service and coverage violations.

It is noteworthy that PTA has taken steps in recent years to improve mobile service quality to provide better facilities to consumers.
