Islamabad: (RightNow) Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, has launched the National Immigration and Welfare Policy 2026. He stated that this policy is a significant milestone towards strengthening labor migration management.

The policy focuses on safe migration, skill development, and worker protection as its core pillars. Chaudhry Salik Hussain emphasized the need to prepare Pakistan’s workforce for future opportunities.

He mentioned that overseas Pakistanis have sent over $41 billion in remittances, reaching an all-time high, showcasing Pakistan’s success.

The new policy integrates institutions and partnerships to ensure Pakistani workers are safe and supported. It aims to equip young workers with skills and knowledge.

It is important to note that this policy will be implemented with the cooperation of federal and provincial governments. The Special Investment Facilitation Council is also involved, aiming to make migration a path to development and dignity.
