Lahore: (RightNow) WhatsApp has introduced a new feature to remind users of birthdays. This feature is similar to Facebook’s birthday reminders.

According to a report by Wabetainfo, the feature is being tested in WhatsApp’s Android beta version. It will notify users of friends’ and family members’ birthdays directly on WhatsApp.

Users will receive notifications for birthdays of their saved contacts, allowing them to send birthday wishes directly through chat.

The feature enables users to view saved contacts’ birthdays within WhatsApp, provided the contacts have shared their birth dates.

It is important to note that further changes to this feature are expected as complete details have not yet been released.
