Islamabad: (RightNow) Pakistani women climbers have made history by summiting Khusar Gang Peak. The Alpine Club of Pakistan’s second women’s expedition was successfully completed. Eight women from various parts of the country climbed the 6,040-meter peak.

The successful team included women from Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Islamabad. The expedition was led by Bibi Afsoon. Ali Muhammad Sadpara and Sadiq Hussain Sadpara provided technical support.

The Secretary General of the Alpine Club of Pakistan, Ayaz Shigri, congratulated the women. He stated that this achievement has proven the courage, determination, and capabilities of Pakistani women.

He further mentioned that this successful summit is a significant milestone in promoting women’s mountaineering. The Alpine Club will continue to provide more opportunities in the future.

It is noteworthy that this was the second successful expedition by Pakistani women. Such efforts provide women the opportunity to showcase their talents on national and international levels.
