Karachi: (Right Now News). After the implementation of the e-challan system in Karachi, over 23,000 motorcyclists and car drivers have been found concealing their number plates. During this period, ambulances from welfare organizations have also been issued fines worth lakhs.

Details reveal that ambulances from Chhipa and Edhi Foundation received over fifty challans. Rescue 1122 was also issued one challan. Most fines were for seat belt violations.

In the current situation, an ambulance parked in Clifton while loading an injured person was also fined. Welfare organizations state that emergency services are usually exempt, yet they are being fined.

This issue has gained importance as drivers do not prioritize seat belts or speed during emergencies to save lives. Organizations demand a separate lane for emergencies.
