Lahore: (Right Now News) In the opening match of the eleventh edition of the Pakistan Super League, the Hyderabad Kingsmen kit caused the ball to change color. The match was played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore between Lahore Qalandars and Hyderabad Kingsmen.
During the match, the ball changed from white to light pink, creating difficulties for the batsmen. The maroon kit of Hyderabad caused the color to transfer onto the ball. Umpires had to replace the ball.
Hyderabad Kingsmen captain Marnus Labuschagne informed the umpires about the issue in the second over. He stated that such a scenario had never been witnessed before.
After the match, fast bowler Haris Rauf mentioned that the color might have also transferred from the stadium seats, but confirming this is challenging.
It is noteworthy that a change in ball color during PSL matches is a rare occurrence, which can impact the transparency of the game.
