Lahore: (RightNow) Former captain Shahid Afridi has strongly criticized the recent decisions of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He stated that despite disappointing performance during the England tour, PCB made wrong decisions that should have been taken after the series ended.

Afridi expressed on Geo News that the world is laughing at us, and we have made a fool of ourselves. He mentioned that even if it was the chairman’s decision, the selection committee should have opposed it.

He further added that T20 players were sent for the third Test, indicating a lack of consistency in decisions. He said our decisions are not based on merit.

Afridi advised Mohsin Naqvi to focus on cricket and not shift responsibility onto others. He also questioned the rapid promotion of Sarfaraz Ahmed.

It is noteworthy that former captain Shoaib Malik also stated that the accountability process should occur after the tour is completed. Saeem Ayub and other players have been included as substitutes.
