Islamabad: (RightNow) Federal Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi has strongly objected to the trend of blackmailing in parliament. He stated that the nature of this blackmailing is such that even the blackmailers would be ashamed.

While addressing the National Assembly, he emphasized that Hadiths and Quranic verses should not be used for personal gain. He remarked that Pakistan belongs to the martyrs who sacrificed for the nation’s defense.

Hanif Abbasi questioned if being imprisoned would make them forget Pakistan. He targeted the opposition, accusing their leaders of being slanderous.

He further criticized those who understand Afghanistan and India better than Pakistan, urging them to join the fight against terrorism. Abbasi also criticized the speeches of Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

It is noteworthy that recent political discourse has seen allegations of blackmailing and cautious statements on security issues. Abbasi stressed national unity and security, stating that those dividing Pakistan will not be accepted.
