Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Maulana Fazlur Rehman discuss political solutions amid ongoing PTI talks.
Islamabad: (RightNow) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Maulana Fazlur Rehman held a telephone conversation. Sources reveal discussions focused on negotiations with PTI and political solutions.
PTI initiated a long march on October 3 after failed negotiations with the government. The march has now entered its sixth day. The Prime Minister had previously invited PTI for talks.
In talks with Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the Prime Minister stated that the government has made every effort for a political solution. He urged the opposition to avoid advancing towards the federal capital.
Sources indicate both leaders discussed the country’s political situation and security in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Maulana emphasized resolving political issues through dialogue.
It is noteworthy that a government and opposition delegation previously met with Maulana Fazlur Rehman. The government negotiation team briefed the Prime Minister on Maulana’s role.
