Islamabad: (RightNow) A Gender Tracker System is introduced to prevent online harassment and misuse of unauthorized images and videos. A special portal and digital dashboard for gender-based violence are also prepared.
The Gender Tracker System will help monitor crimes against women and ensure their safety. The National Commission for Women’s Dignity has worked to make the system effective in various languages, including Urdu, Sindhi, Pashto, and Balochi.
Acting Chairperson of the National Commission for Women’s Dignity, Noreen Bano, stated that the proposal includes hiring female lawyers in every province to provide legal assistance to women.
These measures are crucial for the protection and safeguarding of women’s rights. The National Gender Dashboard includes 115 indicators to assess the situation of women.
It is noteworthy that police IGs have been asked to provide timely data on cases of crimes against women. The preparation of the National Gender Equality Report is also underway to ensure the protection of women’s rights.
