Lahore: (RightNow) Saudi Arabia has resumed crude oil supply to Pakistan through the Red Sea. This announcement was made by Arab media, stating that Saudi Arabia has reactivated its East-West Pipeline.

The East-West Pipeline transports crude oil from the oil fields in Saudi Arabia’s eastern regions to the Red Sea port of Yanbu. The resumption of this supply will stabilize Saudi oil deliveries.

According to officials, the pipeline was shut down after attacks on September 13, halting the loading process at the export terminal. The situation has now returned to normal.

This development is significant for Pakistan as it had increased the use of Yanbu port due to reduced maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. This supply will meet Pakistan’s energy needs.

It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia’s East-West Pipeline is a crucial route for oil delivery from eastern oil fields, which was affected by recent attacks.
