Islamabad: (RightNow) Pakistan has launched its first National Economic Mission. The mission aims to increase exports to $63 billion by 2030 and $100 billion by 2035.

Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal chaired a high-level meeting in Islamabad. The meeting focused on developing a comprehensive roadmap to promote an export-driven economy.

Ahsan Iqbal stated that exports are not just an economic target but a question of Pakistan’s economic sovereignty. He emphasized the need to earn for the future rather than relying on loans.

The mission will focus on diversifying exports, enhancing industrial productivity, quality, innovation, and branding. Priority will also be given to market access and integration into global value chains.

It is important to note that Pakistan’s economy relies heavily on exports, and this mission will play a crucial role in strengthening the national economy.
