Karachi: (RightNow) Police Surgeon Dr. Samia disclosed to the judicial commission that she was pressured to label the Mir Reza case as a suicide to ease the investigation.

Dr. Samia made this statement during the seventh session of the judicial commission, led by Justice Umar Sial. She revealed that Mir Reza had chemical burns on his face and left hand.

Dr. Samia further informed the commission that she had formed a medical board with experts. She stated that the lab report indicated a liquid was injected into Mir Reza’s pulse.

It is important to note that the Mir Reza case emerged in late July 2026 when his body was found in Gulistan-e-Jauhar. Initially, police declared it a suicide, while the family claimed it was murder.

Dr. Samia also mentioned to the commission that she received threats to withdraw from the investigation, and her home address was shared on social media.
