Islamabad: (RightNow) Pakistan and 11 other Islamic countries have strongly protested against Israeli attacks on Syria. These nations have appealed to the United Nations to play a role in safeguarding Syria’s sovereignty.

Foreign ministers from Pakistan, Turkey, Algeria, Indonesia, Jordan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mauritania, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Somalia issued a joint statement. They condemned Israel’s attack on Syria’s Abu al-Duhur military base.

The statement declared that Israeli attacks violate Syria’s territorial integrity and international laws, hindering reconstruction efforts in Syria.

The declaration urged the international community to take a firm stance against Israeli aggression and ensure compliance with the 1974 disengagement agreement.

It is noteworthy that Israeli attacks in Syria are worsening the humanitarian crisis. Islamic countries have demanded the protection of the UN Charter.
