Lahore: (RightNow) The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revoked the demerit points for Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. This decision was made following an appeal by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

The ICC has annulled the demerit point given to Gaddafi Stadium’s pitch. The point was awarded after the One Day International match against Australia on June 4.

The ICC appeal panel based its decision on the absence of unusual unevenness or excessive spin on the pitch.

This decision follows the Pakistan Cricket Board’s appeal, which requested a review of the pitch rating. It is expected to enhance the reputation of Gaddafi Stadium.

It is noteworthy that Gaddafi Stadium’s pitch was previously deemed unsatisfactory, prompting the Pakistan Cricket Board to file an appeal.
