Islamabad: (RightNow) Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has criticized Mohsin Naqvi’s statement on creating new provinces as incomprehensible. He described Naqvi’s remarks as unclear and ambiguous.

Rana Sanaullah stated that it is Mohsin Naqvi’s responsibility to clarify his statement. He further emphasized that the constitution outlines the procedure for establishing new administrative units or provinces.

Rana Sanaullah mentioned that forming new provinces requires discussion in the National Commission and Parliament. This issue is complex and requires consultation with serious individuals.

He added that political parties must choose between smaller provinces and a strong local government system. This decision should be made with party leadership consultation.

It is noteworthy that Rana Sanaullah had proposed resolutions for provinces in Punjab from 2013 to 2018. He stated that a National Commission must be established for funds and other matters related to new provinces.
