Mysore: (RightNow) A 5-year-old child in Karnataka’s Mysore district died after swallowing a toy ball found in a snack packet.

According to police, the incident occurred in Gauripura village where the child was rushed to the hospital for medical aid but could not survive. The child was the only offspring of the parents.

Authorities stated that the ball was included as a free gift in the snack packet, which the child accidentally swallowed. No formal complaint has been filed yet.

The administration says they are in contact with the affected family, and further action will be taken upon filing a complaint.

It is noteworthy that concerns about toy safety for children in India have been raised repeatedly, and this incident highlights those issues.
