Lahore High Court grants one-week protective bail to Noreen Niazi, preventing her arrest in the NCCIA case.
Lahore: (RightNow) The Lahore High Court has prevented the arrest of Noreen Niazi, sister of PTI’s founder, in the NCCIA case. The court has approved a protective bail for one week.
Justice Sardar Akbar Dogar heard Noreen Niazi’s plea in court. The court has ordered Noreen Niazi to appear before the relevant court within a week.
According to the petitioner, the NCCIA has filed a case under the PECA Act. There is a fear of arrest upon appearing for interim bail in the relevant court.
It is important to note that a case against Noreen Niazi has been filed under various sections of the PECA Act and Pakistan Penal Code. According to state TV, the case was registered at the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) in Islamabad.
PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar has stated that Noreen Niazi’s statement is not party policy but her personal views, and it is from an interview conducted approximately three months ago.
