Mumbai: (RightNow) Indian actor Vikrant Massey has disclosed his hesitation to work with Deepika Padukone in the film ‘Chhapaak’. He felt their on-screen pairing might not look good.

Vikrant Massey shared in an interview that he faced a lack of confidence and was hesitant due to Deepika Padukone’s star status. He mentioned that their similar height made him unsure.

The actor further stated that he decided to leave the film, but director Meghna Gulzar encouraged him. Meghna assured him that their pairing would look great.

Vikrant revealed that Meghna Gulzar and other directors trusted him, boosting his confidence. They gave him the courage to take on challenging roles.

It is noteworthy that Vikrant Massey played the role of a social worker named Amol in ‘Chhapaak’. His performance and chemistry with Deepika were praised by critics.
