Mumbai: (RightNow) Bollywood’s famous film ‘Swades’ featured Shah Rukh Khan after Aamir Khan’s refusal. Aamir wanted some changes in the film but left due to time constraints.

Amin Hajee revealed that the script for ‘Swades’ was initially prepared for Aamir Khan. Due to Aamir’s busy schedule, he stepped away from the project.

Shah Rukh Khan met Ashutosh Gowariker during a special screening of ‘Lagaan’ and expressed his desire to work in his new film.

Shah Rukh played the role of Mohan Bhargav in ‘Swades’, which became a significant film in his career. The film uniquely portrayed rural India’s social issues.

It is noteworthy that Ashutosh Gowariker and Aamir Khan achieved great success with ‘Lagaan’, but Aamir could not do ‘Swades’ due to lack of time.
