Lahore: (RightNow) The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab forecasts heavy rains. Urban flooding is expected in cities including Lahore and Gujranwala.

According to PDMA, heavy rains and storms are anticipated from July 24 to 27 in Lahore, southern, and central Punjab. Bahawalpur, Multan, Sialkot, and Faisalabad are also likely to experience heavy rainfall.

The spokesperson stated that intermittent rain is expected in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galyat, Attock, and Gujrat. Strong winds may damage weak structures.

PDMA advises citizens to take precautionary measures. Farmers are urged to protect crops and livestock in advance.

It is noteworthy that district administrations, Rescue 1122, and relevant agencies have been instructed to remain on high alert. Emphasis is placed on the availability of heavy machinery and cleaning of drains.
