Karachi: (RightNow) The Pakistan cricket team plans to field 7 specialist batters for the first Test against West Indies. The team management has begun initial consultations on the playing eleven.
Sources reveal that Azaan Owais, Imam-ul-Haq, Shan Masood, Babar Azam, and Mohammad Rizwan will be part of the playing eleven. Salman Ali Agha will also be included and utilized as the fifth bowler.
It is further reported that Aamir Jamal and Mohammad Abbas will be part of the playing eleven. Left-arm specialist spinner Ali Usman is likely to make his Test debut. One fast bowler will be chosen between Khurram Shehzad and Mohammad Ali.
The team management has instructed bowlers to focus on their batting as well. Players’ fitness will be assessed before finalizing the playing eleven.
It should be noted that the first Test between Pakistan and West Indies will start tomorrow at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Trinidad. The pitch is covered with brown grass instead of green.
