PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi defends the national team’s improved 73% win ratio amid criticism.
London: (RightNow) Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has responded to criticism of the national team. He stated that under new coaches, the team’s performance has improved, moving from eighth to fifth in ODIs and from ninth to sixth in T20s.
Mohsin Naqvi revealed in an interview that Pakistan won four out of the last six ODI series, yet some still criticize the team. He noted that the team’s win ratio increased from 24% to 73%.
The PCB Chairman acknowledged that criticism is everyone’s right, but undue criticism of players will not be tolerated. He added that while Test cricket performance is poor, the reasons cannot be disclosed yet.
He mentioned that South Africa losing to Namibia and India to Ireland shows that no team can guarantee victory in every match.
It is important to note that despite improvements in Pakistan cricket team’s performance, some circles continue to criticize. Mohsin Naqvi stated that if anyone disagrees with him, they should target him, not cricket.
