Jason Gillespie criticizes Aqib Javed’s strategy, questioning Pakistan team’s tactics and communication.
Lahore: (RightNow). Former Pakistan red-ball team head coach Jason Gillespie has strongly criticized Aqib Javed. He stated that the Pakistan team is playing in fear, and there seems to be no selection strategy.
Gillespie mentioned that Aqib Javed changes his decisions daily and has been the chief selector for 2 years. He previously blamed Gillespie and Gary Kirsten for the situation.
Gillespie believes Aqib Javed should take responsibility for the current situation. There is a lack of communication between players and Aqib Javed, with dismissed players learning of their removal through the media.
The former coach also stated that not informing players directly about their dismissal is extremely disrespectful. This process demoralizes the players.
It should be noted that Aqib Javed has been the chief selector for 2 years, and his decisions have often been controversial. Gillespie advised him to reflect on his actions.
