Monsoon rains in Balochistan have resulted in 8 deaths and damage to 41 homes, according to PDMA.
Quetta: (RightNow) Monsoon rains continue to lash Balochistan, with the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) releasing a report on the recent damages.
According to the report, 8 people, including 4 children, have died in the past two months due to the rains. Additionally, 16 people have been injured, including 13 children.
Injured individuals are receiving medical aid after being hurt by lightning, falling walls, and collapsing roofs. Authorities have intensified relief operations in the affected areas.
The rains have damaged 41 homes, with Khuzdar, Zhob, Harnai, and Barkhan being the hardest hit. In these areas, 17 homes are completely destroyed, and 24 have suffered partial damage.
It is noteworthy that Balochistan faces significant losses due to monsoon rains every year. The government has announced the deployment of additional relief teams to the affected regions.
