Pakistani Traders Secure 60,000 Tons Rice Export Orders to China

Pakistani traders have secured orders to export 60,000 tons of rice to China, with maize registration also underway.

Islamabad: (RightNow). Pakistani traders have secured export orders for 60,000 tons of rice to China. China has also started registration for importing maize from Pakistani traders.

The delegation from the Rice Exporters Association is successfully continuing its visit to China. The delegation has signed MOUs with two provinces in China for rice exports. Contracts worth $300 to $400 million are expected.

Chairman of the Rice Exporters Association, Javed Jilani, has stated that maize exports from Pakistan to China will commence soon. Both Basmati and non-Basmati rice varieties will be exported to China.

During the fiscal year, rice exports are expected to surpass the $3 billion mark again. The visit to China is ongoing, with the possibility of receiving more orders.

It is noteworthy that trade relations between China and Pakistan are increasing. Rice and maize exports could contribute to economic stability.
