Sydney: (RightNow) Former Australian cricketer David Warner has admitted to drink driving. The incident occurred in April when a random test confirmed the charge against him.

In May, Warner’s lawyer informed the court that Warner accepted responsibility. He was not required to appear in person at the court.

Warner’s lawyer formally notified the court of his admission. The next hearing is scheduled for August 18, where the sentence will be announced.

The minimum penalty could include a 6-month driving disqualification, a fine of 2,200 Australian dollars, and 9 months of imprisonment.

It is noteworthy that David Warner was in Sydney on vacation during the Pakistan Super League. After attending a friend’s gathering, he tested positive for drink driving, leading to the charge.
