Mumbai: (RightNow) Diljit Dosanjh’s film ‘Sutlej’, based on the history of Indian Punjab, was removed from the platform just two days after its release. In the film, Diljit portrays human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra.

The story revolves around the disappearances in Indian Punjab during the 1990s. Jaswant exposed mass cremations. The film faced censorship even before its release.

Authorities have not provided any reason for removing the film from the platform. Diljit stated that the film is based on facts recognized by the courts.

It is noteworthy that Jaswant Singh’s disappearance drew global attention to human rights violations. His struggle made his character impactful and dignified.
