Karachi: (RightNow) The dollar’s value in the interbank market has reached a 21-month low. The Pak-China Investment Conference and economic cooperation with Uzbekistan have bolstered the rupee.

On Thursday, the dollar’s value fell below 278 rupees in the interbank market. Investment in oil and gas projects by a Turkish company also contributed to the rupee’s stability.

Improvement in economic indicators and increased supply led to a further 3 paisa drop in the dollar, closing at 277 rupees 97 paisa.

However, in the open market, the dollar remained stable at 279 rupees 68 paisa without any change.

It is noteworthy that the decline in the value of the US dollar among global currencies and investment projects have contributed to the rupee’s stability.
