Islamabad: (RightNow). The National Coordination and Management Council has addressed the concerns of the Oil Companies Advisory Council regarding petrol shortages.

In a meeting led by Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik, representatives from NCMC, Oil Companies Advisory Council, FBR Customs, OGRA, and other relevant bodies participated. The availability of petroleum products was thoroughly reviewed.

It was reported that there are ample reserves of petroleum products in the country, sufficient to meet demand. Concerns raised by OCAC representatives were examined and resolved.

Oil companies indicated that increased sales of petroleum products in the first 15 days of July led to supply concerns. OGRA highlighted potential hoarding due to anticipated price increases.

It is noteworthy that NCMC has instructed OGRA to enforce measures against hoarding effectively and has directed provincial governments to ensure uninterrupted supply of petroleum products to the public.
