Putin praises Iranian courage and considers weapons use if Baltic threat arises.
Moscow: (RightNow) Russian President Vladimir Putin has praised the courage and resilience of the Iranian nation. Speaking at the Valdai Forum in Moscow, Putin stated that the world is amazed by the bravery of the Iranian people.
Putin emphasized that global attention is focused on Iran, and the courage of the Iranian nation has impressed everyone. He further mentioned that if there is a threat to Kaliningrad in the Baltic region, Russia may consider using weapons.
The Russian President did not rule out the possibility of using weapons of mass destruction but stressed the need to prevent such actions.
It is significant that Washington is imposing new financial sanctions on Iran, while Russia is also facing American sanctions. Despite these sanctions, both countries have expanded their trade and military relations.
It should be noted that Russia and Iran have exchanged weapons via the Caspian Sea route, and Moscow expresses solidarity with Iran.
