Kinshasa: (RightNow) A military plane has crashed in the Democratic Republic of Congo, resulting in the deaths of 14 people. Among the deceased are two high-ranking military officers.
The Congo military spokesperson stated that the head of the military court and the Auditor General of the armed forces were among those killed. Investigations have begun to determine the cause of the crash.
According to the spokesperson, the crash included 12 delegation members and crew members. Officials have indicated that a technical fault caused the accident.
Local authorities reported that the plane crashed while returning to the capital, Kinshasa, from the city of Kikwit. The true causes will only be revealed after the investigation is complete.
