Tehran: (RightNow) Iran has decided to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed until the US fulfills its promises. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf announced this decision during a speech in parliament.

He stated that the US is not fulfilling its responsibilities under the peace agreement reached in June. Ghalibaf further mentioned that Iran has communicated its conditions to US officials through mediators.

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warned that returning to previous negotiation conditions is impossible without recognizing the rights of the Iranian nation. He emphasized that the path of deception for the enemy is closed.

This situation could escalate tensions in the Middle East and impact the region’s economic conditions. There is also an expression of capability to target US interests.

It is noteworthy that Iranian Security Chief Mohsen Rezaee also advised the US to accept Iran’s conditions. He stressed the importance of facilitating negotiations through mediators from Qatar and Pakistan.
