Islamabad High Court postpones Eman Mazari and Hadi Chattha’s case to September 23 due to legal advisor’s absence.
Islamabad: (RightNow) The Islamabad High Court has postponed the hearing of Eman Zainab Mazari and her husband Hadi Ali Chattha’s sentence suspension requests to September 23, 2026.
Justice Azam Khan presided over the hearing at the Islamabad High Court, where lawyers Faisal Siddiqui, Riyasat Ali Azad, and Zainab Janjua appeared.
The case could not proceed due to the absence of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency’s (NCCIA) legal advisor and prosecutor.
The court adjourned the hearing due to the absence of NCCIA’s legal advisor. The petitioners have also approached the Supreme Court.
It is noteworthy that Eman Mazari and Hadi Ali Chattha were sentenced to 17 years each for controversial social media posts.
