Islamabad: (RightNow). The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has instructed Afghan medical and dental students to return to their home country. The PMDC has directed medical colleges to complete administrative actions and issue NOCs to Afghan students.

The PMDC letter imposes a ban on Afghan nationals enrolling in medical and dental institutions. Afghan students are not allowed placement or migration. Institutions are instructed not to facilitate these students.

Relevant institutions must submit compliance reports within 3 days, with actions against violations. The PMDC warns of strict measures for non-compliance with the directives.

This decision is made considering the presence of Afghan students in medical institutions. The PMDC’s September 1 letter reiterates the July 31 directives.

It is noteworthy that the number of Afghan students in Pakistan has increased, causing administrative challenges in medical colleges.
