Tehran: (RightNow) Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf warns US oil and gas interests are at risk if Iranian assets are targeted.

Ghalibaf stated on social media platform X that US oil and gas companies in regional waters face danger. He added that Iran is capable of responding to attacks on its assets.

The Iranian Speaker claimed Iran has previously demonstrated its retaliatory capabilities, but did not specify any bases.

Ghalibaf’s statement follows US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s threat to destroy Iranian tankers.

It is noteworthy that recent statements have further escalated tensions between Iran and the US, affecting maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.
