Mingora: (RightNow) Jamaat-e-Islami leader Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman stated at a rally that the party’s movement has become the voice of the common people. The movement is rapidly growing nationwide, with historic efforts by the youth ongoing.

He congratulated the workers on the success of the nationwide strike, noting that the strike, which began in Karachi, completely shut down businesses in Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Malakand Division.

Hafiz Naeem criticized the rulers, saying they have made life difficult for the public, with basic necessities and travel becoming challenging due to heavy electricity bills.

He added that levies on petrol have increased prices, making essential goods expensive. Every motorcyclist pays 35% in taxes.

It is noteworthy that Jamaat-e-Islami had protested against IPPs, providing relief to the public. Unfair agreements with IPPs have been ongoing since 1994, with costs and interest passed on to the public.
