A French news agency reports that the number of ships in the Strait of Hormuz has fallen below the 10-day average. Yesterday, only 4 cargo ships passed through, compared to 9 the day before.

The reduction in shipping traffic is disrupting global energy supply. Before the crisis, 125 large commercial ships used this route daily.

The Strait of Hormuz is a vital route for global energy transport, with one-fifth of the world’s crude oil and LNG passing through. This week, only 2 large crude oil tankers have passed.
