Islamabad: (RightNow) The interim investigation report on the PIMS tragedy has been presented to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The investigative committee has recommended immediate action against those responsible.
Sources indicate that the report was prepared under the leadership of former Interior Secretary Shahid Khan. All committee members have signed the report.
The report highlights inadequate facilities at PIMS Hospital and issues faced by rescue teams. The responsible parties have been identified.
The committee has recommended strict action against absent staff on the day of the incident. The Prime Minister has the authority to make the report public.
It is noteworthy that the report was submitted to the office of the Prime Minister’s advisor, Tauqeer Shah. The Prime Minister will soon decide on actions against those responsible.
